If there is one band that
will forever be tied to living in North County San Diego, it’s Fleet Foxes.
Even though they're from Seattle, their debut album Fleet Foxes was
released in 2008, the year of our relocation. With warm and wistful Beach
Boys-like harmonies, White Winter Hymnal is a remarkably beautiful and short, succinct song that
sounds like little else that was in heavy rotation on the airwaves during that
time.
Fleet Foxes – White Winter Hymnal
I was following the pack all swallowed in their coats
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads
From falling in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go
And Michael, you would fall
And turn the white snow red as strawberries in the summertime
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads
From falling in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go
And Michael, you would fall
And turn the white snow red as strawberries in the summertime
